We’re looking for someone to join us at Hampshire Workspace to answer calls for a busy private GP practice in our building. You will also provide reception and administrative tasks for the practice and for Hampshire Workspace. You will be part of a small friendly team working in our serviced offices building at 37-39 Southgate Street SO23 9EH.

You will be working a minimum of 14 hours per week (plus holiday cover) spread over 2 days and one half day. The hours will be mutually agreed but, in general terms, our hours are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. You will be paid £11.00 per hour.  There is onsite parking, subject to availability.

Your Key Tasks will be

  • Telephone answering for busy GP practice appointments and other related tasks
  • Customer facing reception duties
  • Take payments
  • Sort incoming mail
  • Frank outgoing mail
  • Photocopying as required

Essential Experience/Skills Needed

  • Previous customer facing reception role
  • Previous experience of office duties
  • Excellent telephone manner (professional and friendly)
  • Ability to multi task
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and online booking systems
  • Numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE/’O’ level or equivalent)

Desirable Experience Needed

  • GP / Medical Practice experience
