What a registered business address means

By law, all companies must have a registered office, which must be situated at a physical location in their country of registration. It can be any address you choose. However, it must be an address at which you will be able to deal with all official letters and notices that you receive. That’s where we come in. We will forward to you all official correspondence from Companies House and HMRC received at your registered office. And you won’t be bothered with mail or unwanted visitors at your own address.

As is legally required, your registered office address is the address that is placed on public record and that you will display on all your company stationery, including your company website. You will still need a UK address where your company’s statutory documents are available for inspection, and to which we can forward mail from Companies House and HMRC. Director’s Service Address

All company directors are legally obliged to have their personal address on the public register. If you want to avoid your directors’ home addresses being registered at Companies House for anyone to see, the Companies Act allows directors to use the registered company address. For an additional £15 each, your company directors can use your registered business address at Southgate Chambers as the Director’s Service Address and we will forward official mail to your UK home address.
